SCOPE OF SERVICES

Individualized Support
Individualized Support for Students

Our office supports students' unique circumstances by providing individualized support through navigating university and community resources, policies, processes, and conflict.

AN
Absence Notifications and Post-Hospitalization Support

Our office can notify your faculty and other relevant members of the campus community (employer, residence director, athletic coach, etc.) of absences due to:

  • Unexpected medical emergencies
  • Hospitalization
  • Personal crises
  • Bereavement

For students admitted to the Bryan Psychiatry In-Patient Unit, information will be provided to you at admission about how to allow your case worker at Bryan to communicate with Student Advocacy and Support to coordinate non-clinical case management upon your discharge.

MW
Medical Withdrawal and Re-Enrollment

A medical withdrawal provides students the opportunity to take time away from campus for the treatment of a mental or physical health condition that impairs their ability to function safely and successfully as a member of the campus community. Students must meet with a Student Advocacy and Support Case Manager to initiate this process.
